In partnership with the University of Arizona, the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery is actively seeking Per-Diem Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeons skilled in thoracic transplantation- as well as broad-based general cardiac surgery including coronary artery bypass, valve disease, adult congenital and thoracic aorta- to provide call coverage at Banner University Medicine Tucson. The division is a dynamic environment offering comprehensive and multi-disciplinary surgical and medical care for our patients, and our staff of five Surgeons (plus nine advanced surgical practitioners) strive to provide the best in patient care, resident/medical student education and training, together with extensive community and academic endeavors. Collaboration with the heart failure and thoracic oncology teams at the University of Arizona Cancer Center is part of the role as well.
